Cookie Policy

The public Roftrlabs site sets cookies for one purpose: Google Analytics, which tells us how many people use the site and which tools they use, so we know what is working and what to build next. These are the cookies, all set by Google Analytics on our behalf:

• _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another using a randomly generated identifier. Lifetime: 2 years.
• _ga_S9DYDTBPE4 — keeps the state of the current browsing session for the same purpose. Lifetime: 2 years.

We set no advertising cookies, no preference cookies and no cookies of our own. The analytics identifier is random — it is not your name, your email address or anything we could connect to you.

The first time you visit, a notice at the foot of the page offers a choice: accept the analytics measurement, or decline it. Declining tells Google's tag, through its consent signals, to stop storing the cookies above — and every tool on the site keeps working exactly as before. Your answer is remembered in your browser's local storage (never sent to us), so the notice does not return on later visits.

Where a tool needs to remember something for you between page loads, it uses your browser's local storage, on your own device. That data is never transmitted to us and you can clear it at any time through your browser's normal "clear site data" control.

Google Analytics is the only third-party script on the public site. It loads from googletagmanager.com and reports usage measurements to Google; Google's own privacy policy covers what it does with them. We embed no advertising, no fonts from third-party hosts, no social buttons, no chat widgets and no session recording.

You can block analytics entirely — with a browser content blocker, or Google's own opt-out add-on — and every tool on this site keeps working exactly as before. Nothing here depends on it.

Roftr's own administrators sign in to a separate, non-public area of this service. That area uses a strictly necessary authentication token to keep them signed in. It is not reachable from the public site, it is never set for visitors, and it is not used for analytics or tracking of any kind.

If we ever add a cookie beyond the analytics cookies above, this page will describe it — its name, its purpose and its lifetime — before it goes live. See the privacy policy for how we handle everything else.
